UPDATE FROM MILLIONAIRE SMILE
As I’m sure you know, we are living in one of the most challenging times we’ve ever seen due to the recent global pandemic. Understandably our customers have been asking questions such as if we are still open for business, are deliveries on time and what steps are we taking to ensure the safety of our customers and staff. Below, I hope to answer all of these concerns.
REMAINING OPEN FOR BUSINESS
As an online-only business, all of our staff, except those in our warehouse, are able to work from home and have been doing so since the 23rd March following the Government’s advice. Our warehouse staff do continue to come into work but when they do they are regularly washing their hands and following the social distancing rules set out by the Government by keeping at least 2 meters apart at all times, luckily this is easy to do in a large warehouse with a small number of staff.
SAFETY OF OUR CUSTOMERS & STAFF
Safety of our customers and staff is our number one concern. As mentioned above we only have essential staff in our warehouses who wash their hands regularly and follow the social distancing rules. All other staff are working from home. As we are an online-only business we have no direct contact with customers. We do, of course, send out parcels and although the government has advised that the chances of catching the virus from a parcel are low, our courier, DPD, has created a contact-free delivery process, which means:
- You won’t be asked to sign for the parcel, the driver can take a photo of the delivery as proof of delivery.
- If you are self-isolating and do not want to open the door, you can request that the driver leaves the parcel in a designated place using the DPD app or by leaving a note on your door.
You can read all of the bulletin updates from DPD on their website.
DPD is our only courier and although they have seen a spike in parcels they are managing the situation well with a next-day delivery success rate of 98% as of the 26th March 2020. However, whilst their service is still exceptional at the moment they are also delivering critical parcels to the NHS, GPs, Pharmacies, care homes and the vulnerable. So in the event that your parcel is late, we ask you to please bear with DPD through this difficult time.
Stay at home, stay safe.
